The Darkness

There was a contest on DeviantArt over the course of December. The basic point was to take a script and basic scene direction and come up with a page that suited it.

This baby has been a hodgepodge of different mediums and techniques, but I'm ultimately happy with how it turned out.

Whether or not I win, I have to say it's made good practice over the holiday season.

Doyle

One of my sketches from long ago.
His name is Doyle and he is a fish demon,
soul broker, ladies man, Brit the list goes on.
I hope to do more advanced studies on him in the future.

Self Portrait

Just me in a trench coat and hat. This is likely one of my oldest finished pieces. A remnant from back when I first started drawing, it still holds up remarkably well, in my opinion.

Yarn Man

The idea for this drawing spawned one day when I asked myself a question everyone asks themselves at some point in their lives. "What happens when a ball of yarn is blasted with Gamma radiation giving it sentience?" I think you know my answer.

This drawing is still a work in progress. I intend to make more use of the background when I return to this piece.

Cow Skull

For nostalgia purposes I dug this drawing out of my files. Chances are, I am only uploading this to show my progress as an artist.

This was one of the first drawings I ever did for an art class, way back in the year 2009. It is almost ancient at this point. This also happened to be my first foray into charcoal as a medium, and I desire it to be the last.

Testudines

This cute little guy was one of the original maquettes that I used in the process of creating my abstracted turtle.

He ended up having a personality of his own that after I finished the main sculpture I came back and gave this guy a life of his own.

Harv

This is my satyr, and he's about 85% the size of an actual human head. His name is Harvey, but I call him Harv for short. He is a physical recreation of an inter-dimensional bar owner who used to be a Victorian Era masked vigilante. You know, the usual.

This bad boy is made entirely from ceramic clay and the sheer unadulterated madness of the gnomes that run my mind.
